Together with partners, NEDA will also provide training in civil rights, human rights, peace-building.

Drug awareness; NEDA believes that drug use may be part of the experimentation that some young people do when passing from adolescence to adulthood. Taking drugs is not necessarily deviant behaviour and the project draws a distinction between drug use and problematic drug use. We aim to raise awareness about the effects of drugs and the safer use of drugs by working informally and confidentially with young people.

NEDA will address and deliver drug issues holding educational workshops within schools, colleges, and Community halls. In addition we will work within the statutory Youth Service, providing support for schools with ‘at risk’ pupils, one to one interventions for young people with an identified substance use problem.
